In its activities, ENL follows the code of ethics of civic associations.

Non-governmental organizations value and act on the basis of honesty, equality, dignity, openness, solidarity, cooperation, diversity and trust. Their cooperation is based on a benevolent partnership, mutual respect and recognition. It is the duty of non-governmental organizations to contribute to the development of a safe, balanced and caring society.

In their daily activities, non-governmental organizations follow the laws and other legislation in force in the Republic of Estonia. The Code of Ethics sets out the principles for the dignified operation of non-governmental organizations, the observance of which increases the credibility of associations and the non-profit sector in society.
