/ Youth Participation Fund

The Youth Participation Fund of the Estonian National Youth Council funds projects that focus on creating new opportunities for participation, developing existing forms of participation and networking in the field of youth participation. We expect the operating participation groups, student councils, youth associations as well as informal youth groups and youth activists, that are just commencing their activities, to apply for money from the fund. The fund’s support amounts do not have a determined upper and lower limit, but on average they remain at € 1,500.

1. HOW TO APPLY?

To apply for funding from the Youth Participation Fund, you must fill in the application form accompanied by the action plan by the fund’s application deadline. Initial feedback is given on the application form and action plan received by the Youth Participation Fund application due date, arising from which the applicant is invited to make additions to the application form and the action plan. Following the alterations, the submitted project application will be evaluated by the council of the Youth Participation Fund and will approve the funding decision. No later than four weeks after the application deadline, the Chairman of the council of the fund shall inform applicants of funding decisions.

NB! When applying, please take into account the time of the decision-making and leave at least a one-month difference between the application deadline set by the fund and the planned activities.

The application deadlines for the fund in 2021 are:

  • 15th of February
  • 12th of April
  • 12th of July
  • 13st of September

If you have any questions, please send them to the e-mail address projektifond@enl.ee.

2. PROJECT ACTIVITIES

During the implementation of the project, it is necessary to register all the young people who participated in the activities on the registration form provided by ENL. After the end of the activities, it is necessary to submit a report on the work done, in which it is possible for both oneself and the supporter to analyse how well did the activities go. The Youth Participation Fund’s reporting takes place in the Google Forms environment, which the applicant can access after the funding decision has been announced. The reporting includes the activities performed, the completion of the financial statement, copies of the cost documents and registration forms and three pictures of the project activities. The implementation of the Youth Participation Fund is supported by the Ministry of Education and Research and the Estonian Youth Work Center.
